Hastings Deering Expansion

As the growth of Hastings Deering continued through Central Queensland, the Mackay facility underwent a significant expansion in 2013. Consisting of two extensions to current workshops, the project presented unique challenges to mitigate potential design flaws.

As the extensions were adjacent to existing facilities, surveys were undertaken prior to construction to determine whether the existing buildings were consistent with the design location. Differences were found in this process that were mitigated by the thorough understanding of construction that DTS surveyors posses. In addition to providing set out for structural elements, DTS also prepared cadastral plans to accommodate increased electrical infrastructure associated with the development.
